Day 1 | Arrive Reunion Island

 

Upon arrival in Reunion Island, pick up your self-drive car from the airport and enjoy the beautiful landscapes views of the island on your way to your hotel. Later in the evening, you can explore the mesmerising island at your leisure.

Day 2 | Discovery of Salazie & the East Coast

​

After breakfast, get ready to explore the east coast of the island as well as one of the 3 Cirques of the Reunion Island - Salazie. Explore the national park with endless natural beauty. Witness the famous waterfall of Le Voile de La Mariée (wedding viel) and guided visit to the traditional creole village of Hell Bourg (one of the most beautiful village of France). Post lunch, take a small walk to the Old Therms – a village which was known for its thermal baths. Return to you hotel and rest.

Day 3 | Free Day​

After breakfast, day is at leisure.

Day 4 | Discovery of the Volcano of Le Piton de la Fournaise

​

After breakfast, drive to the most visited touristic site of Piton de La Fournaise, the star volcano of Reunion Island. Stopover at the Commerson’s crater, the view point of Lez Nez de Boeuf and course, the famous Plaine des Sables (a desert full of scorch marks with reddish reflections, just like the surface of the moon. As we cross Plaine des Sables, it feels like we're walking on the Moon. The end of the route approaches Pas de Bellecombe, a belvedere on the summit of Piton de la Fournaise. Overall, a once in a lifetime experience!

Day 5 | Free Day

​

After breakfast, discover the west coast at your convenience. Spend time at the beach and enjoy the sea at our own leisure or use this time for shopping for local souvenirs.

 

Optional Tour: Have a memorable time with your dolphin watching tour. Swim with the gentle giants in their natural wild habitat. A day you will not forget for a very long time.

Day 6 | Discovery of the Wild South & Speleology in Lava Tubes

 

After breakfast, drive by the road to explore the wild south for your guided speleology in the lava tunnels (1hour, 30 mins drive from Le Grand Brule). On the way, you will discover the deep nature of the lava flows, tropical forest as well as the sugarcane fields. Your guided caves exploration tour will last for 3 hours. Accesible from 7 years old, you will be able to explore Reunion Island through the lava tunnels (2001 or 2004) created by the volcano of Le Piton de La Fournaise. We will stop for you to have lunch at a typical Creole restaurant. Then drive back to your hotel (1 hour and 30 mins drive). Evening at leisure.

Day 7 | Depart Reunion Island

Today morning after breakfast, proceed to the airport for your flight back home with delightful memories.
