Day 1 | Arrive Sydney, Sydney Zoo, Blue Mountains

Upon arrival in Sydney, pick up your self drive car from the airport and enjoy the beautiful city views on your way to your hotel. Start your tour by visiting the Sydney Zoo. The Bungarribee Wildlife Experience will meander along open range leafy bushland pathways, immersing themselves in an Aussie Bush Safari. Get up close to koalas, echidnas, wombats, tasmanian devils, dingos and a range of other unique species. Hand feeding the friendly kangaroos, wallabies and emus is a must do experience for all visitors.

 

Head west for the Blue Mountains (100 km), named for their distinctive blue haze, they are one of the most spectacular and captivating wilderness parks in the country. The major scenic attraction is Echo Point from where the best views of the Jamison Valley and the magnificent Three Sisters rock formation can be witnessed. Visit the spectacular Wentworth Falls and enjoy a trip on the scenic railway with dramatic views of the Jamison Valley. Visit the picturesque town of Leura and dine in one of the many fine local restaurants.

Day 2 | Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley

​

On this day, wake up to a hearty breakfast and get ready to explore the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains offering a range of exciting and thrilling experiences. Your unlimited discovery bronze pass includes a journey on the scenic railway as well as a trip on the cableway. The scenic railway journey takes you on a ride on the steepest incline railway in the world! The 415m descent will take you through a cliff side tunnel down into an ancient rainforest.  From here, you are free to explore the scenic walkway which will guide you to the scenic cableway platform for the journey back to the top. 

 

Depart the Blue Mountains, traveling north through the towns of Mt Victoria and Bilpin. Near Kurrajong, join the winding Putty Road which takes you through the Wollemi National Park to reach the Hunter Valley (212 km).

Day 3 | Hunter Valley - Wine Tasting Tour 

​

Today after breakfast, get ready to get an ideal taste of what the Hunter Valley has to offer. Perfect for people who are in the region for a limited amount of time. Be collected from your hotel for a 3 hours of wine tasting tour. Visit 3 boutique wineries for a private tasting of their delicious wines. One of the stops includes our famous cheese and wine experience where we match 9 different cheeses with 9 different wines. An unforgettable experience indeed!

 

Discover local artisans and beautiful gardens at your own pace and dine in one of the many gourmet restaurants in the area.

Day 4 | Port Stephens, Dolphin Discovery Cruise, Sandboarding 
​

After breakfast, travel south to Port Stephens (100 km) known as the Blue Water Wonderland. Port Stephens is a natural bay two and a half times the size of Sydney Harbour and almost enclosed by two dormant volcanic headlands with over 26 golden sandy beaches to explore.

 

Board your Moonshadow Cruises vessel at to commence a 90 minute Dolphin Watch Cruise. Cruise aboard a 26 metre motorised catamaran, which has triple 360 degree viewing decks, open sundeck, waterslide, hydrophones as well as a licensed bar. Explore scenic Port Stephens harbour in search of local bottlenose dolphins. Cruise includes either morning or afternoon tea, boomnet rides, commentary and a scenic harbour cruise including Tomaree and Yacaaba headlands. Later, join your Port Stephens 4WD Tours transfer and venture onto the Stockton Bight Sand Dunes by purpose built 4WD (look for the red buses) to 40 metre high sand dunes where boards, instruction and supervision are provided for your ultimate adventure!

Day 5 | Captains Dinner Cruise

​

After breakfast, depart Port Stephens and head south, enjoying a delightful detour ride on the Pacific Highway to Newcastle, passing the beautiful Lake Macquarie. Continue along the coast through The Entrance and Gosford, before joining the Pacific Highway as you travel into the city and over the majestic Sydney Harbour Bridge.

 

Evening board your Captain Cook Cruises vessel to commence your Captains Dinner Cruise. Travel aboard MV Sydney 2000 or John Cadman 2, and enjoy stunning views of Sydney Harbour whilst enjoying a 3 course A la carte dinner. After dinner, enjoy live music and dancing or star gaze from the open deck as the lights of Sydney city twinkle in the background. Cruise concludes at approximately 2130 hrs at Circular Quay (2230 hrs on Saturdays, and Fridays from November to January), or 2200 hrs at King Street Wharf (2300 hrs on Saturdays, and Fridays from November to January).

Day 6 | Depart Sydney

After your breakfast, proceed to the airport (drop your car at the SydneyAirport) and enjoy your flight back home with wonderful memories.
